In late 2021, Kayla, a digital content creator based in the Philippines, became pregnant with a baby girl.
The wait for the baby was exciting not only for the mother and father, but also for the family pitbull!
Nova, the dog’s name, took on the role of big sister with a lot of love!
Lying next to her guardian to hear her little sister move, widening her eyes when this happened and getting close to the baby’s clothes were some of the things Nova did while her little sister was in her mother’s belly.
The pet even slept under the crib, as if she was already rehearsing the day the baby would arrive and she would become its protector.

So, the big day has finally arrived!
When Nova met her little sister, she was in disbelief at the mini human her guardian was holding in her arms.
Smelling the little one, she widened her eyes, not believing that the little being moving in her guardian’s belly was right there in front of her.
After the scare, from that moment on, Nova is always seen around the child, taking care of her.
Kayla compiled a compilation of these moments and shared the video on her TikTok profile in November 2022. The post has accumulated over 47 million views and thousands of comments.
“The girl has a new best friend,” declared one internet user.
“Her expression is like ‘from now on, this is the most precious thing I have in my life’,” another imagined what goes on in the pitbull’s head.
