Little Maia, just three years old, won the internet’s heart when she shared a truly adorable moment with her grandfather, Luiz, and her pet goat , Lala, during a bath.
The girl’s mother, Desiree, a decorator from Ceará, shared the scene on social media, where it quickly went viral.
In the video, Maia and her grandfather appear together giving the little goat a loving bath, enveloping the web in a wave of cuteness and love.
Lala, who is actually an orphaned goat , was adopted by the family after Maia fell in love with the animals on her grandfather’s farm, where they usually spend their weekends.
Desiree revealed in an interview with Crescer magazine that, despite Maia being passionate about sheep, the family never separated a lamb from its mother.
However, when she discovered that Lala had no mother to take care of her, the situation changed.
The little goat was alone and isolated on the farm, which moved the family, especially little Maia and her grandfather.
With that, Luiz ended up giving in to his granddaughter’s request and brought the little goat home, transforming it into a new member of the family.
In the viral video, Maia’s grandfather calls Lala for a bath and she promptly responds with excited jumps – a typical behavior of goats, known for their playful nature.
They start the bath with the hose, soaping and rinsing the little goat while showering it with affection and massages, which are happily received.
Each touch seems to bring them even closer, and the grandfather, in a loving tone, even wraps her in a towel as if she were a baby, calling her “my big baby.”
The most hilarious moment, however, happens when Maia’s mother asks her daughter if Lala smells good, and the little girl honestly answers: “She still smells like goat.”
The post attracted thousands of comments, with internet users moved.
“Imagining her memories with Grandpa when she’s older! So precious,” commented one follower.
Another user praised:
“What a cute thing in the universe… and those jumps?”
The connection between Maia and her grandfather was widely highlighted, with many users expressing admiration for the grandfather who “can’t say no to his granddaughter.”
Additionally, many commented on Lala’s jumping, which reflects the playful and curious nature of goats.
According to the Celeiro da Montanha blog , goats, in addition to being social, love to jump and explore their environment.
This behavior is natural and comes from their climbing and jumping abilities, used to protect themselves from predators in the wild.
However, when interacting with humans, goats’ jumping is a form of entertainment and a way to get attention.
Anyone who has seen a goat in a yoga session, for example, knows how engaging and lively they can be, taking the time to play and interact.
Lala’s arrival also brought lightness to Luiz’s routine, who, at 64 years old, began to care for the little goat with great affection.
“When she hears my father’s voice, she starts screaming; I think because he gives her milk, she started to see him as ‘mother’,” joked Desiree.
Living with Lala is an exercise in patience and affection, but according to Maia’s mother, it only brings joy.
“She’s very quiet, she’s very affectionate, she loves affection, she wags her tail and jumps a lot,” he explains.
