Nina is a six-year-old Bichon Frise, very happy and playful. This cutie lives with her owner, Heloísa Lopes Vaz, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul.
She loves making friends!
Together, they go on hikes, walks, and participate in events. And, of course, at these events, the mascot always makes friends.
However, one event in particular, which took place in 2022, caught Heloísa’s attention, as her pet decided to make an unusual friendship!
Instead of interacting with dogs, the curly-haired cutie fell in love with a horse.
Friendship
The Rio Grande do Sul Bar Association (OAB/RS) held an event in anticipation of Christmas, in Largo dos Açorianos square, and the security at the site was provided by the Military Brigade Cavalry.
Seeing the horses ready, Nina was impressed by the magnificent animals!
So, he dragged the owner through the crowd so he could get as close as possible to a horse, which he wanted to make friends with.
However, Heloísa didn’t understand the reason for her pet’s anxiety, she only realized it when Nina came face to face with the horse and, with her nose, touched the horse’s nose.
The owner was afraid of the approach, but, according to Heloísa’s statement to Amo Meu Pet, the police officer said she could let him, as the horse was very calm.
The affectionate contact delighted everyone present!
“It was her realization. She sat on her hind legs to be higher and be able to get closer to her new friend. He also got down, they sniffed each other and she gave him a ‘kiss’, a lick! The scene was so beautiful!”, recalled Heloísa.
Nina is very sweet, friendly, loyal, and a friend. She pays attention to everyone, but especially loves her family. For Heloísa, this little cutie means “life, attention, and affection!”
Another case of unusual friendship
Emily Sebryk adopted Robin, a miniature Australian shepherd, and he developed an incredible friendship with Teddy, her horse.
They have been inseparable best friends for six years.
Robin loves to climb on Teddy’s back and they even compete in races, with Robin adopting funny tricks to run faster.
They were even caught “stealing” carrots together.
Their friendship is full of fun and joy.
