1. Potoo Bird
Also known as poor-me-ones, Potoo birds are nocturnal creatures related to nightjars and frogmouths, inhabiting Central and South America. They primarily feed on beetles, moths, grasshoppers, and termites.
A notable feature is the absence of bristles around their mouths. Interestingly, during the day, these birds remain motionless, perched upright on tree stumps, masters of camouflage.
2. King Vulture
King Vultures are scavengers that soar through the air searching for carrion. Mayan legends suggest these large birds were named “king” because they were believed to carry messages between humans and the Gods.
