In May of this year, a little dog named Bevo received the best gift of all. After spending a lot of time on the streets with two canine friends, he was finally adopted. But this was only possible thanks to a rescue group.
Bevo is a mixed-breed puppy with black fur and white paws who suffers from a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. All three members of the trio have this health condition, which is why living on the streets seemed like their only destiny.
But everything changed when the Stray Rescue organization rescued them and took them to an animal shelter in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. The disease doesn’t cause pain, but of course laypeople who saw them on the street thought it did and that they couldn’t have a normal, good life, so they spent quite a long time surviving.
After arriving at his foster home, a couple from Atlanta met the puppy and immediately fell in love. Bevo finally found a permanent home and guardians. A video of the dog arriving at his new house was posted on Facebook on May 20th.
In the scenes, the dog is walking awkwardly around the yard due to its illness. The owner is crouched ahead, encouraging it to explore the place. It’s as if the little dog can’t believe it finally has a home to stay in and find comfort.
During the walk, the owner encourages the dog, knowing that it is a good animal and deserves all the love in the world.
At one point in the video, you can see that the dog’s eyes are filled with tears, overwhelmed with emotion at finally being rescued and adopted. Since leaving the streets, Bevo’s life has changed overnight.
It will take him some time to get used to the routine, and he will also have to understand that he no longer needs to worry about finding food to survive; the house will have everything he needs and more.
The video shared on the profile of the shelter where Bevo was before his adoption received over 2,200 views, 121,000 likes, and 3,800 comments.

Bevo and his canine friends deserve a loving home; surely the others will be adopted too.
