Rayssa Ribeiro, a resident of the state of Goiás, shared what happened when a caramel-colored stray dog with just three legs showed up at her workplace. The story’s outcome left internet users enchanted.
Recently, a caramel-colored three-legged mutt appeared at the accounting firm Grupo Meta, and the boss’s reaction surprised everyone.
“The other day, this little dog showed up at work. And the boss decided to adopt him,” Rayssa said in a video shared on social media.
But in addition to finding a home at the company, the dog was promoted to team “therapist”, complete with a personalized badge and everything!
To choose the name of the new ’employee’, the employees organized a poll, and the most voted was Sped.
Now, Sped spends his days at the firm, receiving affection and bringing joy to everyone.
The video delighted internet users, who filled the comments with loving messages:
“Congratulations, may you be happy and may the company and its employees be blessed,” wished one internet user.
“Beautiful gesture,” said another.
“Much success to the company and to all of you!” wished another.

Another pet that got a job and a home
In 2022, the Home Depot store in Mount Laurel, New Jersey (USA) was facing a serious rat problem.
Instead of hiring a pest control company, the employees found a more charming and effective solution: adopting a cat!
So, the striped cat Mr. Leo was rescued from a shelter and began patrolling the store daily, ensuring that no rodents invaded his territory.
His performance was so exceptional that he was named Employee of the Year by the company.
In addition to snacks and lots of affection, the staff ensures that he is always safe and comfortable.
Mr. Leo is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and also has a collar with AirTag for monitoring.
Benefits of animals in the workplace
According to the Harvard Business Review , allowing pets in the office brings numerous benefits, both for employees and for the corporate environment.
- Reduced stress and increased well-being
Research shows that the presence of animals helps alleviate stress, improve quality of work life, and increase employee engagement. In hospitals, for example, therapy dogs contribute to staff satisfaction and mental health.
- More collaboration and better communication
Having a pet in the workplace encourages interactions between colleagues, creating a more relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Studies show that teams that work with dogs communicate better and demonstrate greater cooperation and trust.
- Inclusion and emotional support
For employees dealing with chronic health issues, disabilities, or emotional challenges, pets offer non-judgmental companionship and foster a more welcoming and inclusive environment.
