Leopoldo is the pet golden retriever and therapy dog of a very dear human named Luisa. The dog is a hard worker and devoted to his little owner, so he deserved the gift he received.
But then you think, it must have been a trip, or a specific toy. Quite the contrary, it’s your dream home. That’s right! Cool, right?
The pet has its own home in the family’s backyard. But it’s not just any kennel, or the pre-assembled wooden house you can find in pet shops around the world. It’s a dignified residence; if it were larger, I’d deduct that it pays property taxes.
But for his size, and being the only dog, he’s fine. Now, in his downtime, do you know what he likes to do most?
According to a video posted on Instagram @luisaeleopoldogoldenalves , since getting his own home, the dog hasn’t stopped gossiping through the window . The post, made on January 24th, shows the property with a playpen and everything!
Leopoldo makes a point of showing every detail and explains that his little corner was designed for his safety, where he goes to rest. But outside of these moments, he loves playing in the backyard and spending time with his family.
“When I came here, I needed a safe space. The floor is non-slip granite, the roof is granite to keep out rain and wind, and it has three windows so my house is always airy,” says the golden one in the narration.
With over 100,000 followers, it wasn’t hard to go viral. Netizens praised the family’s care for their pet.

Although Leopoldo’s house has a fence, the gate is a swing gate , meaning he can push or pull to get ut. He’s not locked in. He’s free to come and go as he pleases, and his golden retriever’s decisions are respected.
Luisa is also always welcome at the dog’s home; in one scene of the video, she appears lounging on his bed, keeping him company. The two are best friends, but they respect each other’s individuality when it’s necessary to spend time apart.
