It was about three years ago that Luísa decided to offer a temporary home to a dog that she said she would “never” adopt.
However, soon, by an irony of life, Luísa discovered that taking in this dog was exactly what she needed.
It all started when she received a message about the responsible donation, with lots of love and care, of a golden retriever of approximately six years old.
This dog was Z, who was looking for a home to call his own and to be able to give all the love he had not yet had the opportunity to offer.
“What this big guy has most is love. He’s neutered and just wants a family to love and give love to. Oh, Z has lived chained up for a while, so he’s looking for a home free of chains,” read an excerpt from the message.
Luísa was reluctant to adopt because she had recently lost her dog and didn’t feel ready.
But even so, he agreed to give the dog Z a temporary home.
Even though she only planned to take care of him for a short time, Luísa made sure to provide all the necessary care.
“We treated the ear infection, the wounds, had the first consultation with the dermatologist and the first haircut to even out the fur and better treat the lesions,” he says.
After veterinary care came moments of leisure and new experiences.
Dog Z had his first river bath, his first identification tag and it was at that moment that Luísa realized she was already completely involved.
“Needless to say, but here he had already convinced me.”
Since then, Z has had countless first-time experiences with his new family:
First bed, first trip to the beach, first real clothes, first steps, first time on the couch, first stuffed animal, first water ride, first plastic pool, first New Year’s together, first time in Gramado, first birthday cake, first time camping, first graduation, among many other milestones.
In a compilation of images shared on TikTok , Luísa showed several of the golden retriever’s unforgettable experiences since he came into her life.
“Watch my dog ​​live for the first time,” he described at the beginning of the post.
Z’s expression in all these moments shows how grateful and happy he is to be able to experience all of this.
Oh, and needless to say, this temporary home ended up becoming permanent, right?
