MoralFace is an independent online magazine for the stories people actually talk about: the moral dilemmas of everyday life, remarkable people and animals, film, TV and games, technology that changes how we live, and the curious corners of the internet. We take those stories seriously. We find out what really happened, explain why it matters and tell it in a way that is a pleasure to read.

The name says what we are about. Behind every viral moment is a human face and, more often than not, a question of right and wrong: Was that fair? What would you have done? What does it say about us? We write for readers who like to think those questions through.

How we work

1. We start with a real question. Every story begins with something readers want to know, not with a headline we want to sell.
2. We check it. Facts, numbers and quotes are checked against original, publicly available sources: studies, official records, the people involved and reputable reporting.
3. We write it in our own words. We do not copy other publishers. We name and link the sources we rely on and credit pictures wherever the owner is known.
4. We edit before we publish. A second look for accuracy, fairness, tone and clarity. Headlines must match what the article actually says.
5. We correct mistakes openly. If something is wrong we fix it quickly and say so when the change matters.

Some articles are prepared with the help of digital tools. A person is always responsible for what is published; how that works is explained in our editorial policy.

What we will not do

• invent people, quotes, experts or events;
• publish misleading clickbait headlines or fake “breaking” alerts;
